Boyer & Associates Included in 'VAR Stars' List

Bob Scott's Insights, a publication of the Progressive Media Group, released the “VAR Stars” list to commend organizations for factors such as quality performance and leadership in their arena. It is made without regard to the volume of annual sales made by these businesses, and their ability to achieve notable growth is considered.

In the VAR Star list for the calendar year 2010, Boyer & Associates, a Minneapolis-based ERP solutions company, was named to the list.

In a press release, Jack Boyer, president of Boyer & Associates, said, “Bob was someone you had to shoot straight with because he certainly did and expected the whole truth with no embellishments. To get this award so many years later as an ERP VAR is very satisfying for us. Bob pays attention. We didn't deserve it last year, but had strong results in terms of success on large engagements this year. We also diversified our portfolio to include a web-architecture ERP product that is written in .NET (News - Alert) called Acumatica. We believe its future is very strong due to its toolset.”

Boyer & Associates’ emphasis on getting and retaining the right people, investments in collaboration tools such as Microsoft (News - Alert) Dynamics CRM and Basecamp, and preparing a diversified portfolio that now includes a Web-architecture ERP product that is written in .NET, are cited as some of the reasons that the ERP solutions company was included in this year’s VAR Stars list.

Microsoft Dynamics SL and Microsoft Dynamics GP continue to be a strong foundation for Boyer clients due to their feature set. The company included a Web-based ERP product to cater to the market demand for an offering that is .NET based as well so that it can run in a browser and even on Microsoft platforms such as Azure.
