April 27, 2009

San Francisco , CA - Apr 27, 2009 - Sage North America announced today that Grant Howe, vice president of research & development for its Nonprofit Solutions business, will present an education session at NTEN’s 2009 Nonprofit Technology Conference (NTC), being held this week at the San Francisco Hilton in San Francisco. Sage North America will also exhibit its award-winning Sage MIP Fund Accounting and Sage Fundraising solutions for nonprofit and government agencies in booth #43 at the conference’s Science Fair, a marketplace of ideas filled with simultaneous presentations and hands-on demonstrations.

In “Going Remote: What You Need To Know,” on Tuesday, April 28, Howe will present information about popular remote access models, including self-hosting, co-location, and ASPs. Issues around general security, HIPAA, PCI, SAS 70 and protecting personal information, in relation to the different hosting options, will be discussed. Attendees will gain knowledge about methodology and practical tips, such as how to evaluate which option is best for their organization, and how to start an implementation project.

NTEN is the membership organization of nonprofit technology professionals. Its members share the common goal of helping nonprofits use all aspects of technology more effectively. NTC is NTEN’s annual conference, which includes keynote presentations, breakout sessions, a Science Fair exhibition, networking receptions, and Affinity Group meetings. This year’s NTC is sold out.
