ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr. 14, 2009-- Lawson Software (Nasdaq: LWSN) today announced a U.S. channel partnership with PHOENIX Business Consulting. PHOENIX is a premier provider of business consulting services and solutions, based in Greensburg, PA. Under this partnership, PHOENIX will market the Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System to a variety of companies in multiple manufacturing industries in the United States. PHOENIX brings more than 20 years experience in the enterprise software business and has a proven track record of providing business value to its clients.

The Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System includes a full suite of enterprise applications designed for manufacturing and distribution operations, with specific functionality for the needs of food and beverage companies. As an example, Lawson Trace Engine helps food and beverage companies build trust in their products by offering greater transparency into raw materials and supplies. Trace Engine can help companies meet growing demands for accountability and transparency relating to food safety. In addition, the recently-introduced Lawson M3 Analytics is another set of applications designed specifically around the needs of companies in manufacturing and distribution. It provides a full set of business intelligence tools that can be implemented in days – as opposed to months. The new analytics package helps companies to begin realizing business intelligence value almost immediately.

“We were very impressed with the depth and breadth of the Lawson M3 suite of products and Lawson’s industry-leading technology including the innovative Lawson Smart Office, ProcessFlow Integrator and Lawson Business Intelligence,” said Sean Kissane, vice president of business development for PHOENIX Business Consulting. “There are many companies that could quickly gain competitive advantages by implementing the Lawson M3 system and we’re ready to partner with them to help them realize these benefits and thrive in this challenging economic environment. By offering the Lawson M3 system with its low Total Cost of Ownership and industry-specific functionality, we can deliver meaningful value to a wide range of general manufacturers in the U.S.”

“Our two companies share industry-specific expertise, which means we understand the challenges and emerging threats that our customers face,” said Jeff Farris, strategic alliance manager for Lawson. “General manufacturers as well as food and beverage producers face growing challenges – from managing supply chains effectively during a tough economy to responding to food safety threats that can destroy a company’s brand and reputation overnight.
