Beverage Plastics Chooses Infor ERP SyteLine for Quality Control

Infor today announced that Beverage Plastics Limited, the Co. Armagh-based manufacturer of plastic bottles, has invested in its enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Infor ERP SyteLine's depth of functionality complements the company's plans to adopt an advanced business system to support its high volume, continuous 24 x 7 production environment.

Beverage Plastics manufactures plastic bottles, preforms and one-piece closures mainly for the soft drinks industry. The company will implement ERP SyteLine in several areas of the business, particularly quality control, production planning, maintenance and shop floor data collection. These areas are currently generating a large amount of manual records.

The Infor ERP software will allow Beverage Plastics to capture data on quality checks, introduce a barcode stock tracking system for finished goods stock and a production planning system visible to the entire company that will include scheduled maintenance tasks.

"We reached a stage where an upgrade to a new version of our current system would have been very costly so we took the opportunity to investigate the market and see what else was available. We were very pleasantly surprised at the functionality available in modern ERP systems. We looked at six options, shortlisted two, and finally decided on ERP SyteLine from Infor," explains Shirley Dew, IT manager and project manager for the ERP SyteLine implementation project, Beverage Plastics Limited.
