Workday for iPhone Now Available

Today from Marketwire comes word that Workday, Inc has released an iPhone version of their Human Resource and Financial solutions application appropriately named Workday for iPhone.

Workday is a human resources and financial management solution for enterprises. Offered as a Software as a Service (SaaS), Workday provides information on business processes and tasks to employees and managers. The iPhone application provides the following capabilities:

- Users can now review, approve, deny and revise tasks from the Workday system and view the status of ongoing business processes. For more details visit http://www.workday.com/mobile

- Users can also search their company’s worker directory for names, images and contact information. This information can be used to call or email coworkers directly and view physical addresses on Google Maps.

- Workday mobile applications include password and role-based security with time-out and sign-out preferences to align with customers’ security requirements.

Workday is available in the App Store at no additional cost. Up to this point, most software companies that offer iPhone applications require the customer own a specific type of license class or module. Workday should be commended for making their iPhone application available to their customers for free.
