Nestlé Nespresso Standardises Global Distribution Operations on Manhattan Associates

March 24, 2009

PARIS and ATLANTA — March 24, 2009 — Global supply chain optimisation provider Manhattan Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ: MANH), today announced that Nestlé Nespresso, the global leader in the portioned coffee market, has successfully implemented Manhattan's Warehouse Management solution (WMS) for Open Systems at its distribution centre (DC) at Alfortville in France. This is the third site to have had the solution successfully installed following previous deployments at DCs in Yvonand and Chavornay in Switzerland. The implementations at the three partner-operated sites in France and in Switzerland are part of a world-wide project Nestlé Nespresso is undertaking that will see the Manhattan solution rolled out to many of the DCs operated by the company's twenty one logistics partners it works with throughout the world. Nestlé Nespresso selected Manhattan's solution to support the strong growth the company is experiencing in Europe and around the world.

Following a successful transition to the new system at Alfortville, Yvonand and Chavornay, during which there was virtually no interruption to the smooth running of the facilities, the sites are now fully live and benefiting from the system's reliability and versatility.

"Following the first implementations of Manhattan Associates' WMS, we're already benefiting from reliable traceability capabilities that enable us to comply with the specific demands of today's increasingly regulated food sector," commented Nicolas Gueissaz, logistics director at Nestlé Nespresso. "The new platform gives us centralised visibility of supply chain inventory and our operational activities worldwide and at the same time allows us to monitor the performance of our logistics services partners. We're pursuing our global implementation plan as a collaborative exercise with Manhattan's team of expert consultants. In addition to the immediate benefits we're seeing materialise as we implement at each site, the solution will demonstrate its scalability as we roll-out to the entire network and as our transaction volumes grow over time."

Following the go-live at Alfortville, Nestlé Nespresso's roll-out programme will continue at other sites across Europe during 2009.

"With a project plan that spans more than twenty logistics partners located in as many European countries, Nestlé Nespresso has set its sights on a position of supply chain leadership in its sector," comments Henri Seroux, managing director of Manhattan Associates France. "We're delighted that Nestlé Nespresso selected our supply chain solution, and look forward to helping the company achieve its ambitious goals."
