Mariah Power Harnesses ERP for Supply Chain Efficiency

Auburn Hills, MI — February 12, 2009 — Mariah Power's Manistee-based manufacturing facility this week announced it has selected Plex Systems, Inc.'s, Plex Online (POL) as its software-as-a-service (SaaS) enterprise resource planning (ERP) manufacturing solution.

Mariah Power is the manufacturer of the Windspire, an environmentally friendly, propeller-free vertical axis wind turbine designed for commercial, government and residential markets. Windspire is a Green Tech winner of Popular Science's Best of What's New in 2008 award.

"It is a major step forward for Mariah Power to begin volume manufacturing Windspires," said Mick Hansen, vice president, Engineering, Mariah Power, "and with Plex Online we found a terrific hosted solution to help us manage the entire manufacturing process from virtually anywhere."

Plex Online includes over 350 functional modules to manage operations from the shop floor to the top floor, including manufacturing execution system (MES) modules such as quality management and machine integration, ERP modules such as accounting and finance, customer relationship management (CRM) modules such as order entry and tracking, and supply chain management (SCM) modules such as supplier quality and traceability.
