ATLANTA - Feb 12, 2009
Infor today announced a new global organization to support the company's more than 15,000 customers who run their business on Infor's applications for the IBM System i platform. Led by former IBM executive Mark Wright, this new organization will advance product development for Infor products based on the IBM System i platform, facilitate collaboration between Infor and IBM and enhance customer service and support. The new cross-functional organization includes employees who are exclusively focused on System i-based products, with eight development labs around the world focused on new product innovation for System i-based solutions.

"Infor remains committed to the IBM System i platform, the continued development of our System i-based products and elevating service and support for these customers around the world," said Greg Corgan, president, global field operations and corporate senior vice president, Infor. "In his role as general manager, Mark will work with IBM and our new System i team to drive product strategy and innovation, foster a more collaborative approach within the System i customer base, and provide greater overall value to customers."

Wright spent 18 years at IBM and brings extensive knowledge of the System i platform to Infor. In his new role as senior vice president and general manager for the IBM System i organization, Wright will be responsible for strategic direction and leadership of all System i-based sales, pre-sales, product management, product development, and marketing, as well as working with Infor's channel partners who sell and service software for the platform. The unified structure strengthens the services provided to customers running System i, who will benefit from direct engagement with an Infor team that has knowledge and domain expertise specific to the platform.

Infor is committed to delivering the highest level of functionality and cross-system interoperability to customers that run System i. Infor is enabling its System i-based ERP solutions through its service-oriented architecture (SOA) platform, Infor Open SOA. Recently, Infor announced SOA enablement of Infor ERP LX, providing for the seamless integration of complementary applications, such as Warehouse Management and Enterprise Asset Management.

In addition, users of Infor's System i ERP software will have access to powerful new capabilities through Infor Open SOA, like Infor MyDay, a Web 2.0 home page for individual users based on their specific roles and responsibilities in the organization.

Infor's extensive product portfolio for IBM System i includes software in the areas of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Human Capital Management (HCM), and Financial Management (FMS).
