Consona Corporation Becomes Four-Time, Hall-of-Fame Recipient of Association of Support Professionals “Top Ten Best Web Support Sites” Award

May 15, 2007

INDIANAPOLIS May 15, 2007-- Consona Corporation (Consona), a worldwide leader in providing customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and services for the enterprise, today announced it has won the 2007 Association of Support Professionals (ASP) "Ten Best Web Support Sites" award, a prestigious award that showcases excellence in online service and support. Consona also was named to the ASP's “Web Support Hall of Fame,” which honors sites that have been named among the "Ten Best" for at least four years. Other Hall of Fame sites include Cisco, Cognos, Dell, Hewlett-Packard ITRC, Microsoft, Symantec, and think3.

A panel of judges with expertise in Web support design and implementation named Consona’s customer Web site, Consona™ Expert, among the “Top Ten” using 25 separate performance criteria. The evaluation process covered overall usability, design, and navigation; knowledgebase and search implementation; interactive features; overall customer experience; and major site development challenges. Consona’s award application focused on the challenge of bringing 1200 new customer companies across three acquired product lines (AXIOM® from AXIS, Encompix ERP, and Intuitive ERP) to the site in one year.

“We’re very proud of Expert, which is essentially the cornerstone of our entire support and education infrastructure on the ERP side of our business,” said Todd Schulte, vice president of support for Consona Corporation. “When we built it back in 2000, we had no idea it would evolve to offer personalized content—from service packs and training courses to manuals and technical support—to more than 3,000 users across multiple versions of five product lines. It’s phenomenal how the site has been able to scale to provide a heightened level of value for our newly-acquired customers.”

Schulte, who as part of a previous job at Consona helped build and design the original site, added that, while he is thrilled to see Expert join the ASP’s “Web Support Hall of Fame,” Consona cannot rest on its laurels. “Consona is a recognized leader in online education and support,” he said, “but as always, to remain a leader, we need to continue to invest in the people and technology that will take Expert to the next level.”

"During the ten-year span of this awards competition, Web support has become dramatically more polished," said ASP executive director Jeffrey Tarter. "It's not surprising that bigger companies are investing heavily in self-service technology, because the return on investment is so compelling. But much of what makes a site great is the result of good navigation, good writing, and relentless attention to what customers want. These are qualities that even the smallest company can build into a support site."
