City of Bloomington Contracts with Tyler Technologies for ERP Software

The city of Bloomington, Illinois has decided to invest in Tyler’s Munis enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution to replace the city’s many disparate applications with one integrated system.

A Dallas-based company, Tyler Technologies provides management solutions and services for local governments. The idea behind the company is to empower the public cities, counties, schools and other government entities to become more efficient, more accessible and more responsive to the needs of their citizens.

Tyler Technologies is a growing company and includes more than 9,000 local government offices within the 5 states, as well as, Canada, Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom.

Bloomington’s director of information services shared in a statement that the city is looking forward to using Tyler’s Munis ERP to help eliminate many of its manual processes, bring a higher level of efficiency and drive much lower operational costs. The director also shared that reporting capabilities will be improved and the new system will provide more timely and accurate information to the citizens of Bloomington with 24/7 access to service and information.

Since Bloomington is one of the fastest growing urban areas in Illinois, the investment with Tyler’s Munis financial will help the city to manage the integrated systems on one platform that distributes information to provide greater proficiency across all departments.

President of Tyler’s ERP shared that the company will help the city of Bloomington to achieve its business goals and operate with higher efficiency. The company is also looking forward to working with the city and wants to make its technology more up to date so that the staff and citizens will be more empowered to help the city improve operations on a day-to-day basis.
