In an effort to provide its customers with a consistent web-based software suite, Microsoft plans on integrating its customer relationship management (CRM) product with its ERP and Accounting software. As of May 2010, Microsoft's Dynamics CRM Online will be integrated with Dynamics GP and Dynamics ERP.

Along with the software convergence, Microsoft Dynamics users can look forward to new language support, portal accelerators and cloud-based tools to enhance business interconnectivity. Microsoft announced their road map for expansion to international markets, as well as their plans for convergence, at the 2010 Convergence user conference.

"The true competitive difference for Microsoft is the value customers derive through a consistent and world-class user experience and well-designed interoperability across our solutions," said Microsoft VP of Business Solutions, Stephen Elop. "Our upcoming Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM releases light up this philosophy by delivering solutions that work well together and take advantage of existing IT investments."

Microsoft has also developed built-in integration framework for Microsoft Dynamics GP and CRM. The integration framework offers support for on-premise and on-demand versions. The new Dynamics updates allow users to meet the needs of customers while extending capabilities to external audiences. With the Microsoft convergence, users can benefit from increased interoperability between their business solutions products as well as optimized efficiency.
